I'd really like to give an extra shout out to Wes Bos as Javascript 30 was instrumental in my beginner->intermediate phase. This is from 2016 so you'll use modern syntax conveniences where you see fit, but to this day I haven't seen a better guide to practical JavaScript.

It's free, the pacing and tone are great, you'll use what you learn for the rest of your career, the JavaScript is 100% vanilla and it's by "the best js teacher on the internet".
